about money. I see that it's a pretty fluid things and a lot depends on
your mindset.
I grew up knowing we had no money. I stood in stores for much of my
youth, hung around malls with nothing in my pockets but my keys.
Eventually, I learned to steal.

A thief's mindset is more tragic than a poor man's. The thief will find he never has enough. Paying for something solidifies its value.
ReplyDeleteExactly Audrey! That was one of the greatest lessons I learned.
ReplyDeleteA thief will steal because he doesn't think he deserves a good life. It's a poor sense of mind. It skews your perception and self confidence in such a way that makes you a person worse off, value yourself less.
Entitlement is also a bad habit to feed, and you have to use that spell on yourself in order to justify what you steal.
...But being poor is noble when done correctly. It brings a sense of pride to your life if you let it. Salt of the earth, good people. A much better alternative... to stealing things that you don't need.
ReplyDeleteStealing is a sin, I've learned that age-old law without much consequence. I am a lucky man.
